Chan fashions new success at the China International Fashion Show
Fashion leap for Jackie Chan as Kung-fu star promotes new clobber
BEIJING (AFP) - Rubber-boned Chinese martial arts star Jackie Chan (news), has taken a leap into the world of fashion with the launch of his own line of clothing, reports said.
More famous for his death-defying stunts than his dress sense, the 49-year-old star of "Rush Hour" and "Shanghai Noon" said he hoped his garments would be a hit in China and beyond, the Xinhua news agency said.
"I would like to develop a fashion brand for all Chinese and bring it to the world stage," said the Hong Kong-born actor.
Chan modelled his new clothing, which bears a Chinese dragon logo and the English word "Jackie", at an informal fashion show in Beijing.
