The only current market which The Karate Kid failed to opened number one is South Korea, where it was ranked number 5 in its first weekend and took in 0.9 million. That being said, the numbers are still very very promising. The movie will open in China on 22 June and in Japan in 23 August. Hope the movie will continue to do well in the current Asian markets and will do even better in China and Japan. Big Congrats To Jackie, Jaden and everyone involved with The Karate Kid!
